At the outset of each project, we meet closely with prospective clients to discuss their vision, goals, timeline, and budget. This initial collaboration allows us to determine how best to provide the services they require while establishing a strong and lasting designer-client relationship built on trust, clarity, and mutual respect.

We love plants, and we have always believed that no home or building is truly complete until the landscape is thoughtfully designed and fully realized. Our passion for plants, gardens, and outdoor spaces naturally led us to incorporate landscape design as an integral part of our work. We create distinctive landscape environments tailored to the character and vision of each project, from intimate private gardens to expansive courtyards and outdoor living spaces. Every landscape is approached as an extension of the architecture, carefully composed to bring balance, atmosphere, and a sense of place. There is something wonderful about walking through a secret path that leads to a wonderful space providing a natural and peaceful garden environment, or an entrance that says "I've arrived", leading to a quiet retreat, a peaceful natural setting that softens daily life, or an arrival experience that immediately leaves an impression. Through the thoughtful placement of planting, hardscape, and outdoor elements, we aim to create environments that feel inviting, memorable, and deeply connected to the architecture. How We Do It :
Every project begins with a conversation. We first meet with you to discuss your vision and evaluate the scope of the project, including the location, size, building type, budget, and all the details that make your project unique.
At this time if we both feel we are a good fit, we move forward with a retainer and a letter of agreement outlining the scope of work and responsibilities. From there, the fun begins — we start developing concepts, exploring ideas, and creating preliminary sketches for your review and approval.
Once we have received a signed conceptual design sketch from you approving the design, we begin to formalize the concept further. If interior or landscape design services are included, we begin collaborating on color palettes, material selections, finishes, and overall atmosphere to bring the project to life cohesively.
As the design develops, we coordinate with any consultants necessary for the success of the project, including structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers, contractors, specialty consultants, and local architects when required for permitting and approvals.
At key stages throughout the process, we provide updated floor plans, elevations, renderings, and material presentations so you can clearly visualize the direction of the project. We review progress together, discuss refinements, and make adjustments as needed to ensure everything continues to align with your goals, vision, and budget. At this point we would appreciate your second payment in order to continue with the design drawing, as stated in our letter of agreetment.
Throughout the journey, we remain closely involved with both our clients and consultants to help keep the project running as smoothly as possible. Communication and collaboration are an important part of what we do, and we believe the best projects are created through a shared process.
Once the design is complete, we provide the final drawing package necessary for construction and implementation. Depending on the scope of the project, this may include floor plans, elevations, sections, details, reflected ceiling plans, lighting plans, finish schedules, and other specialized drawings required to fully communicate the design intent.
Although our formal design work may conclude there, we are always happy to remain involved through periodic site visits or design oversight during construction, if desired. At this stage we require the final payment as per our letter of agreement.
And in the end, if all goes well — which we certainly strive for — you are left with a beautifully designed space to enjoy for many years to come. Happily ever after sounds pretty good to us. The End!
